It all started back in 1970, when Jack Golen CTC, D.S. a Geography Teacher at
Austin High School in Chicago, IL, began coordinating the "8th grade Washington D.C. trip" for his students.
8 years later, he decided he really enjoyed planning and coordinating student travel, and decided to make
a career change. For the first two years, Jack began his home based student travel agency, until he had
enough clients to open up his own office.

Jack has since developed two branches from his original student travel agency; Hemisphere Travel, Inc.,
the original retail travel agency, specializing in airline tickets, cruises, and honeymoon vacations;
and Hemisphere Educational Travel, a specialized educational travel company focusing on
providing world-class educational travel services and student tours across the United States and around
the world.

At Hemisphere Travel, we strive to provide professional, educational, and fun-filled tours at competitive
prices. We want to help each tour leader, or liaison between Hemisphere and the group, provide a class
